Here at Sphinx Glass, safety is not just a priority, it’s a core value.  We understand that the float glass industry can be inherently risky, and that’s why we’re committed to creating the safest possible environment for everyone who walks through our doors – employees, visitors, contractors, everyone.

Since our founding in 2008, this commitment has been unwavering. We made a promise to achieve the highest safety standards, and that meant going above and beyond. Early after its establishment, Sphinx applied the British standard for Occupational Health and Safety Administration System (BS OHSAS 18001), which later developed into an ISO version entitled ISO 45001 / 2018 as well as ISO 14001 / 2015 for Environmental management system. We ensured our fire detection and fighting systems are top-notch, meeting the international NFPA code and adhering to the Egyptian Fire Code. We didn’t stop there – we made sure all our safety measures comply with Egyptian Labor Law No. 12 of 2003, giving our employees the legal protection they deserve.

But safety is more than just regulations. It’s about building a culture, and that starts with our people. We invest in qualified safety professionals and provide comprehensive training for all our employees. We want to empower everyone to be actively involved in creating a safe work environment.

And the results speak for themselves! Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate a monumental achievement: a full year (365 days) without accidents or lost-time injuries! This is a testament to the dedication of our entire team, from management to frontline workers.

But we’re not stopping here. To further incentivize a strong safety culture, we’ve allocated a portion of our monthly bonus program to be distributed among employees when we achieve zero accidents and injuries. It’s a win-win – a safer workplace for everyone and a well-deserved reward for our team’s commitment.
